York Playspace is one of the leading Play organisations in York and the surrounding area. We are able to provide play opportunities for children and young people aged 0 - 18 years.
We are the leading provider of the Chill Out Zone model which works with the Children and Young People towards:-
- Choosing not to offend, re-offend and engage in anti-social behaviour
- Develop self-confidence and enterprising behaviour
- Being safe from crime and anti-social behaviour.
- Achieve personal development and enjoy recreation
- Keep mentally and emotionally healthy
- Lead a healthy lifestyle

Jane was withdrawn and very sulky, unable to make decisions for herself including what to eat, what to play etc and relied heavily on her older sister. Since joining the Zone, Jane has gained in confidence, has started to interact more with people including the staff and makes her own decisions and has started questioning the decisions that her sister tries to make for her.
